Czech: Smazeny Syr (Fried Cheese)

Ingredients:

Tartar sauce ingredients

Procedure:

  1. Make the tartare sauce: combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well
  2. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or in a pan at medium/high heat until it reaches 350F
  3. Prep 3 bowls with the following ingredients: flour, eggs, breadcrumbs
  4. Dredge up to 4 slices of cheese in the flour
  5. Next, dip the slices in the beaten eggs until it’s wet all over
  6. Then completely coat the slices with bread crumbs
  7. Deep fry the cheese slices for about 20 seconds (or flip after 20 seconds if using a pan)
  8. Set aside on paper towels, then repeat with other cheese slices
  9. Serve with tartar sauce
